Change of Faculty/Department

If you desire to transfer to another faculty or department within the University, you may apply to take a change of faculty/department examination.

If you pass the examination, you will enter your chosen faculty/department as a second-year or third-year student.

If you wish to take a change of faculty/department examination, you must complete the application procedure in accordance with the examination guidelines, which will be available in October. Then, take an examination scheduled to be held in January. Announcement of students who have passed the exam will be made in late March of the following year. Information on examination and application procedures will be announced through TOYO-info on Toyo University Official App. For details, contact the Education Affairs Section.


Withdrawal for Disciplinary Reasons

Students who violate the University Rules or commit acts that are counter to their duty as a student may be forced to withdraw for disciplinary reasons, based upon a decision by the University.


Transfer Enrollment (Hennyugaku )

Those who wish to enroll in Toyo University after graduating from the University or another university may apply to take a transfer enrollment examination. Examination guidelines will be posted around September on the entrance exam information website.

Those who have passed the examination will enter their chosen faculty/department as a third-year student, in principle. They will follow the department curriculum of the school year in which they are admitted. For credits earned prior to transfer enrollment, refer to the examination guidelines. An explanation on course registration will be given by the Education Affairs Section at the time of the transfer enrollment procedure.

Transfer Admission (Tennyugaku )

A student enrolled in another university may apply to transfer to Toyo University with the permission of the university in which he/she is currently enrolled. In that case, the student must take a transfer admission examination administered by Toyo University. Examination guidelines will be posted around September on the entrance exam information website.

Those who have passed the examination will enter their chosen faculty/department as a second-year or third-year student, in principle. Non-Matriculated Student

Those wishing to take specific subjects offered at Toyo University may enroll as a non-matriculated student.

You cannot take subjects as a non-matriculated student while enrolled in the University.
