This is an introductory course to Local Area Studies/History as it pertains to Towns County and surrounding Northeast Georgia and Western North Carolina. This course will explore social, cultural, geographical, and artistic advancements that shaped the local history of this area. Students will conduct research, go on field trips, draw maps, listen to guest speakers, and create informational texts on the local history of Towns County.
