Town of GB-M

The Town of George's Brook - Miltion (GB-M) is located on the east coast, of the island portion, of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The island is accessible by ferry from the neighbouring province of Nova Scotia or by airplane from various location around the world, arriving at one of our airports like the St. John's International Airport (YYT) or the Gander International Airport (YQX).

By Ferry:

Marine Atlantic provides a ferry service to two communities on the island: Port aux Basques and Argentia.

Port aux Basques:

  • Departing the ferry at Port aux Basque, leaves you with about a 7 and a half hour drive to the Town of GB-M, east along route 1, the Trans Canada Highway, to Clarenville and then route 230A to the Town of GB-M.

Argentia:

  • Departing the ferry at Argentia, leaves you with less than a 2 hour drive to Town of GB-M, following route 100 to Whitbourne, route 1 to Clarenville and then route 230A to the Town of GB-M.

By Airplane:

Several national and international carriers have flights with destinations to several airports on the island portion of the province.

St. John's International Airport, YYT

  • From St. John's, you can drive west along route 1, the Trans Canada Highway, for approximately two hours to Clarenville, followed by a short trip along route 230A to the Town of GB-M.

Gander International Airport, YQX

  • From Gander, you can drive east along route 1, the Trans Canada Highway, for a little over an hour and a half to Clarenville, followed by a short trip along route 230A to the Town of GB-M.
