General Information

The Eagle Foundation has one portable stand at Target Field. Report times are generally 2.5-4 hours prior to game time.

Volunteers who are under the age of 18 may not volunteer in a position (i.e. cashier) at a location that sells alcohol. Currently, our stand does not serve alcohol at all so this should not be an issue for the 2022 season.

If all general positions are full but you are interested in volunteering, please sign up as a "backup" volunteer. In most situations, we often rely on backups due to cancellations from volunteers.

Check-in times are extremely important. Anyone checking in late after the check-in time is subject to a $10 reduction for every 1/2 hour beyond the scheduled report times.

Training

Delaware North is the food service provider at Target Field. These trainings are REQUIRED to be completed by each volunteer each year. Please complete the following steps (in order presented below):

  1. Target Field Concessions orientation

  2. Guestpath - 4 key elements of customer service

  3. Volunteer signing packet - A Volunteer Signing Packet is also required annually from every volunteer. Once completed and scanned or printed to .pdf, it should be sent to the group’s coordinator and MNfundraising@delawarenorth.com.

  4. For each volunteer that is 18 years of age or older, please e-mail MNFundraising@delawarenorth.com to receive links and instructions on accessing alcohol training. You can only get this training by sending a direct email. This training is about 3 hours long and is required for volunteers of age 18 or more. Once you have completed the training you will again need to email MNFundraising@delawarenorth.com to receive the link for the test that is required to be taken prior to final certification. This entire process could take up to three days, so please plan ahead!

Parking information

Minnesota Twins/Delaware North Employee Parking is available at the Hawthorne Ramp.

Red arrows show Skyway connection to Target Field. Target Field strongly encourages using skyways, please cross 7th Street using Skyway. The associate and volunteer entrance are on 7th Street at Twins Way. Use stairwell/elevator on exterior of Target Field on Skyway level to get to street level.

Ramp process/payment:

1. Enter Hawthorne Ramp from Hawthorne Avenues side. The Hawthorne Ramp is attached to Ramp A on the far side of the ramp from Target Field, but it is NOT Ramp A. The two ramps are under different management, and we do NOT have an arrangement for reduced rate parking for Ramp A.

2. Take a ticket upon entry.

3. Get validation ticket from HR representative.

4. AS YOU ARE LEAVING, you may pay at either of the pay-boxes on the Skyway Level (blue “P” on map), OR pay as you exit the ramp. Insert ticket you took upon entry, insert validation ticket, make payment, and if at pay-box then take your initial ticket back out to present upon exiting ramp. Do NOT use pay-boxes to pay as you are arriving for your shift. The payment is “active” for 15-20 minutes after payment is made – if you pay prior to your shift, it will slow down your exit from the ramp as the payment is re-activated. The cost is $4, and payment can be either credit card OR cash.

Check-in procedures

  • The check-in procedures are very important. If a volunteer does not check-in, Totino-Grace will not be credited for their volunteer shift.

  • Volunteers will enter Target field via the employee entrance located on 7th street.

  • You will first be screened through security. Please note that Target Field has a clear bag policy and all bags/coats should be stored in the locker rooms on -1 in the stadium. The only exception to this is for the lead, as they are allowed to bring a clear bag with supplies for managing the stand.

  • Once you are screened and enter the stadium, you will immediately see the check-in table for the non-profit volunteers. Please provide your name and that you are volunteering for Totino-Grace. If you need a hat or name tag (first time volunteers only), you will ask for them at this check-in point.

  • If you are the lead for the day, you will grab the stand book as well as the rubbermaid container with all the uniforms. All uniforms must be returned to the laundry facility (level -2) at the end of each game.

  • Once you have checked in, please proceed to stand P312.
