So lets explain what Porters do for a living  


A NHS porters job it to take medicine, equipment, patients and other things to places in the hospital  and the places on where they need to be delivered. 

Also, they are responsible for caring for patients and carrying parcels and cleaning the hospital, depending of what form of 'portering' you are doing. 

Also when doing the job it can include: 

Helping people on trolleys or in wheelchairs

taking samples of patients blood 

Linens 

delivering post and parcels 

taking out waste 

moving and delivering new cylinders of gas

delivering trolleys of food and drink to feed patients
