Visiting a college during a school day when college students are in attendance is one of the best ways to see if you like a campus and can imagine yourself as a student there.

What Are My Campus Visit Options
In May of 2023, Senate Bill 68 was passed allowing students to have up to two excused absences to visit a professional’s workplace for a career investigation day. The absences work just like a college visit day where students must bring documentation that they attended a job shadow at a person’s place of employment. Information regarding this bill can be found HERE.
This opportunity has been named “Groundhog Job Shadow Day” and is celebrated and recognized on February 2 of every year. More information about this can be found HERE.
However, students can go and visit professionals on any other school day; but the same documentation will need to be submitted and turned in within 3 days of the missed school day.
Click HERE for the form you must have signed by the job shadowing supervisor along with documentation from the company. **These must be turned in within three days of the absence to your alpha pod in order for this absence to be excused.**
