Many of these are specifically for TMHS seniors.
The majority of students will earn scholarships from the colleges where they plan to attend. Some colleges have specific minimum eligibility requirements, and some colleges offer assured or guaranteed scholarships based on students' rank and test scores.
Be sure to research the scholarship application process for each of your schools. Check with each of your intended colleges for their scholarships process and deadlines. For example, some colleges consider students for scholarships through their admissions application. Others may have a separate application.
Students can apply for scholarships from organizations outside of the colleges where they plan to attend. For access to a wider range and variety of scholarships, follow these steps:
Set up a separate email address specifically for scholarship searches. You will start to receive a lot emails from these sites, so you want to be sure to keep these separate from your other important college emails.
Create a profile with scholarship search websites like the ones listed below to get matched with scholarships based on your profile.
Sites that don't require an account:
Apply to all scholarships for which you are eligible!
Be proactive and stick to deadlines - plan to submit scholarship applications early! Some have many supplemental items to submit and some may require several letters of recommendation.
Follow directions closely!
Keep a list of scholarships you apply for and any offers you receive.
Students who receive scholarship offers will be invited to attend our Senior Awards Ceremony in May.
Once you win a scholarship, be sure to write the scholarship organization a thank you letter! See some examples HERE.
