Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC) plays a vital role in fostering collaboration between parents, schools, and the broader community. This committee is designed to encourage and support parent engagement in their children's education, ensuring that families have a voice.
The primary role of a CPIC is to advise school boards on matters related to parent involvement, helping to identify ways to improve communication, support student achievement, and address the needs of diverse communities.
CPICs also work to organize events and initiatives that promote parent involvement, such as workshops, information sessions, and volunteer opportunities.
There are numerous opportunities to get involved, including field trips, nutrition or lunch programs, and various school or classroom activities.
Principals and staff will assess the needs of their school communities and identify how volunteers can best contribute to their programs.
If you have a particular skill that could benefit your school community, we encourage you to contact your child's teacher or school principal to explore how you can help support their efforts.
