7TH/8TH GRADE ENGLISH AND MATH ENRICHMENT

Students who will be entering the 7th and 8th grades for the 2026-2027 school year will have an opportunity to build upon their prior knowledge in both English and Mathematics in courses taught by TMI faculty. This course will prepare them for the next academic year and give them a stronger foundation from which to start the school year. Additionally, students will participate in team building activities to build community to establish a strong foundation for the new academic year.
This program is for TMI students only, including new TMI students who are enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year.

Welcome to the Panther Community! We are excited to welcome you to campus on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for a special program in All Saints Chapel and self-guided tours around our scenic campus. You will hear from TMI's leadership and receive your student's schedule to walk the campus. The Clawset Spirit Store will be also open for you to purchase your TMI Panthers' gear!

8th Grade Retreat
On Thursday, August 20th, 8th graders will be on campus and utilizing our Steele Tower and Confidence Course located at the entrance of campus. Students will be able to rock climb and use the rappel tower as well as encourage their classmates as they complete these tasks. Then, we will participate in low ropes team building exercises. We will be almost entirely outdoors on Thursday, August 20th so please be sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, sunglasses, and a refillable water bottle. Students may wear a TMI spirit shirt with athletic bottoms that are fingertip length or longer. Bottoms must be solid school colors or orange, black, white, or grey. For ladies, leggings are highly recommended due to the harnesses. Closed-toed tennis shoes are required and should follow dress code guidelines of being mostly orange, black, white, or grey. Lunch will be provided as normal in our TMI Refectory. We require all students to complete a waiver to participate on the high ropes activities. Please complete the form linked here and email it back to me by Wednesday, August 19th.
On Friday, August 21st, 8th graders will be going off campus for a morning of service and an afternoon of fun fellowship. Students will depart from campus no later than 8:30am and serve at Hill Country Daily Bread in Boerne, Texas together. After the service project, we will enjoy lunch at Chicken N Pickle and play pickleball! Students will arrive back to campus for a meeting with their advisory to conclude their day. Students must wear TMI spirit dress on this day, which is a TMI spirit shirt with jeans in good repair or uniform bottoms and tennis shoes that follow dress code guidelines. Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. Hill Country Daily Bread requires all volunteers to have their form linked here completed for students to participate. And one more waiver- Please click here to complete Chicken N Pickle's waiver for those wanting to play pickleball. All waivers are due by Wednesday, August 19th!
For both Thursday, August 20th and Friday, August 21st, dismissal will be at the normal time of 3:45pm with pick-up in Panther Park. Due to the adjusted schedules for retreat days, please note that the first day of athletics during the school day (directly after 4th/8th period) will be on Monday, August 24th.
