TMI Episcopal is an excellent academic community. Our highly qualified and dedicated faculty, themselves lifelong learners, create a vibrant learning environment through the passionate presentation of their subjects.
TMI’s curriculum and instructional program provides a broad spectrum of opportunities and experiences. Our Middle School (grades 6-8) curriculum encourages the holistic growth of our students. TMI’s Upper School (grades 9-12) curriculum builds on the Middle School experience and features demanding college-preparatory classes designed to prepare students for admission to the most competitive colleges and universities in the United States and beyond.

FOR CREDIT COURSES
GEOMETRY
(1 Year Credit)
June 1 - July 10, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (6-week course) (Week 5 remote, asynchronous)
Grades: Rising 9th and 10th
Registration: $975
This course guides students through Euclidean geometry with a focus on problem-solving, reasoning and communicating, representing and connecting, seeing patterns, and generalizing. Plane, coordinate, and 3-dimensional geometries are studied, and algebra is used as a tool in applying new facts. This is an accelerated, 6-week course for credit that condenses an entire year of a geometry course; it is challenging due to its fast pace. Students cannot miss more than 2 days or 8 hours of class time. There will be assessments throughout the 6 weeks with a final exam. Prerequisites: Algebra I; All TMI students must apply for eligibility. This course is for currently enrolled TMI students only.

RELIGION IN SAN ANTONIO (Religion Course)
(1 Semester Credit)

Religion in San Antonio is an examination of how religious beliefs and practices function within the specific context of San Antonio, TX. This class emphasizes the local nature of religious beliefs and practices as well as how religions are intertwined with culture, both influencing the cultures of which they are part and being influenced by those cultures. Students are taught methods of inquiry related to history, the philosophy of religion, and the social sciences as they explore not only how religion has shaped the development of this particular city (San Antonio) and county (Bexar) but also how this city and county have shaped religion. The aim is to develop “religious literacy” so that students can become familiar with and accustomed to the variety of religious expressions found in the context of one of the largest cities in the United States. Similarly, this course functions to create awareness of how religion influences everything from San Antonio’s architecture to its landmarks, festivals, population demographics, etc. This is why a central component of this course will be several field trips to religious sites in the San Antonio area. INTRODUCTION TO ART & DESIGN

This course provides a survey of media with projects based on the elements of design, color use and composition. The course is designed to help inspire creative thought and self-expression in the students. The class includes instruction and projects in painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking and introductory photographic practices. In this course students gain a foundation in the visual language which prepares them for the more advanced arts courses. This course is required for Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, Photography, and Yearbook. This course is for currently enrolled TMI students only. INNOVATION, DESIGN, AND TECHNOLOGY
(1 Semester Credit)
June 1 - June 18, Monday - Friday (3-week course)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

This hands-on, project-based course immerses students in the principles of human-centered design while introducing them to cutting-edge technology and tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and vinyl cutters. Students will gain practical experience using professional-grade software such as OnShape and Fusion 360 to bring their ideas to life. The class emphasizes experiential learning, with students working in teams to design and fabricate solutions for real-world challenges faced by organizations and individuals within the TMI Episcopal, San Antonio, and broader community.
Beyond fabrication, students will explore new and emerging technologies that are shaping the world today and will define the future they will inherit. Through in-depth discussions and hands-on exploration, students will learn to navigate these innovations with confidence and develop a deeper understanding of their societal, ethical, and practical implications. This course empowers students to become thoughtful, capable leaders who can leverage technology to create meaningful change. This course is for currently enrolled TMI students only.

NON-CREDIT BOOTCAMPS & ENRICHMENT CLASSES
SESSION 1 | INTENSE FACTORING
July 13–17
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Grades: Rising 6th-11th
Registration: $295
We'll build from the ground up — starting with GCF and LCM of numbers and variables, then moving into GCF factoring of algebraic expressions involving multiple variables, rational and irrational numbers. From there, we'll tackle quadratic factoring: beginning with a lead coefficient of 1 and progressing to non-unit and negative lead coefficients. The week wraps up with quadratic and higher-power patterns. Our goal: complete the legendary "142 Factoring Worksheet." Open to the general public.
SESSION 2 | INTENSE GRAPHING
July 6-10
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Grades: Rising 6th-11th
Registration: $295
From linear functions to logarithms, students will master graphing transformations across nine function families: linear, absolute value, quadratic, cubic, square root, cube root, exponential, rational, and logarithmic. Open to the general public.
7TH/8TH GRADE ENGLISH AND MATH ENRICHMENT
July 20-31
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Grades: Rising 7th and 8th
Registration: $415
Students who will be entering the 7th and 8th grades for the 2025-2026 school year will have an opportunity to build upon their prior knowledge in both English and Mathematics in courses taught by TMI faculty. This course will prepare them for the next academic year and give them a stronger foundation from which to start the school year. Additionally, students will participate in team building activities to build community to establish a strong foundation for the new academic year. This program is for TMI students only, including new TMI students who are enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year.
TMI STUDENT PROGRAMS
PANTHER PREVIEW: 6TH GRADE ORIENTATION
July 20 - July 31, Monday - Friday,

Registration: $450
Panther Preview provides the cohort of incoming first-year 6th grade students with the opportunity to engage early on in the TMI experience for two weeks in the summer. They will start their first semester having been exposed to TMI’s resources and with a team of advisors and friends in place to help them along the way. Students will have an opportunity to improve their English, mathematics, and science skills with TMI faculty in order to get a “quick start” academically as well as socially for their sixth-grade year through serving alongside one another through on and off campus opportunities throughout the 2 weeks.
Additionally, students will hear from various faculty and staff such as Father Scott Brown, Father Ben Nelson, athletics, the Corps of Cadets, and more. We can’t wait to meet you this summer! We know this will be an unforgettable and rewarding experience as we welcome you to the TMI community! Lunch and a T-shirt are included. This program is for TMI students only.
CAMP CLAW
July 27 - July 31, Monday - Friday,

Grades: Rising 9th (or any Upper School student)

What is Camp Claw? Camp Claw is a five-day academic experience designed to give incoming Upper School students a confident, prepared start to the school year. Through a combination of math, English, and community, students will build the foundational skills they need to hit the ground running in August.
Who should attend? Camp Claw is specifically designed for rising 9th graders but is open to any new Upper School student who wants to get a head start on academics. Enrollment is optional, though it may be highly encouraged by the Admissions team for some students.
What's included? Each day features:
A math session covering algebra foundations: fractions, decimals, radicals, exponent rules, variables, equation solving, and introductory factoring
An English session focused on grammar essentials (the eight parts of speech), annotation skills, and writing strong, coherent sentences and paragraphs
Lunch
A Community Experience Camp Claw isn't just about academics. Selected rising 12th graders will serve as teaching assistants throughout the week, making this a true TMI community experience from day one.
