Class Communication and Folders Overview

Classroom Website:  Here you will find class information, updates, and some school announcements.  This is be the main source for information for our classroom.

ClassDojo: To help you stay connected and informed throughout the school year, I will be using ClassDojo as method of communication. ClassDojo allows me to send updates, reminders, photos (please do not download pictures with other students and post on social media), and classroom news directly to your phone or email. You may also send me a message using ClassDojo

• • • • • On Mondays, you will receive a message with a link to our class website where weekly updates and announcements will be posted on the home page.  

        • If you haven’t already, please download the ClassDojo app and join our class.

Sycamore: You can log on Sycamore to check your child's grade.  End of the quarter report cards will be found on Sycamore.  Log in information will be sent home at a later date.

Purple Homework Folder:  Your child's Purple Folder will include:

        • Reading log

        • Planner.

*Please make sure this folder comes to school every day.

Planner:  Your child will write down their assignment(s) daily. 

• • • • • Once an assignment is completed, your child will check it off in the box on the left side.

        • If an assignment is not completed or turned in, it will be highlighted.

        • Once turned in, the student's is responsible to ask me to initial next to the assignment as confirmation.  

        • For the first Quarter 1, I will check planners daily to ensure they are being filled out accurately.

        • Please initial every Friday to show that you have reviewed your child's planner and are aware of their completed and missed assignments.

        • There will also be a space for us to leave notes for one another if needed.

Friday Folders:  Every Friday, your child will bring home a Friday Folder containing:

        • Notices and Flyers

Please review the contents and empty out the folder.  Sign and return to school on Monday, or the next school day.
