What Are We Doing?

Here's a look at our upcoming year in Science:

• Unit 1: Exploring Earth (first quarter)

→ Includes Earth’s structure, minerals, and rocks

• Unit 2: Geologic Changes (end of first quarter, beginning of second)

→ Includes plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, and fossils

• Unit 3: Weather and Climate (second quarter)

→ Includes Earth’s atmosphere, weather and climate patterns

→ We will begin discussing the Science Fair at the end of the second quarter.

• Unit 4: Earth’s Waters (third quarter)

→ Includes Earth’s oceans, freshwater sources, and natural resources

→ Science Fair will also take place during the third quarter.

• Unit 5: Exploring the Universe (fourth quarter)

→ Includes the Solar System, stars, and galaxies

In the third quarter, we will be focusing on weather and Earth's waters.
