Sharing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, Friend, and Teacher through worship, service and educational excellence.

...Meet Mrs. Wingeart................................

Mrs. Wingeart feels excited and blessed to be in her third year here at Trinity... her second as the Middle School ELA teacher.  She has a deep love and appreciation for crafting words and for the Lord. Mrs. Wingeart has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education, as well as a Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy.  Her husband of 19 years is in the Army and her two sons attend Trinity. Outside of school, she enjoys cheering on her sons at their games, hiking, traveling, and opportunities to be creative.

Our course of study will focus on:

- developing an appreciation for and understanding of all forms of literacy: reading, writing, listening, and speaking

- reading, comprehending, and analyzing a variety of literary works (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, speeches, etc.) and literary devices (theme, figurative language, irony, mood, etc.)

- studying, practicing, and regularly applying the rules of grammar and mechanics, proper writing formats, literary techniques, author’s craft, citing evidence, and the writing process to create quality written work

- developing a healthy vocabulary, and understanding the roots and meanings behind words and common phrases
