Unit 1: Structure & Function of Life (1st quarter)
→ Includes cell structure and function, the cell cycle, mitosis and meiosis, genetics, and evolution
Unit 2: From Bacteria to Plants (2nd quarter)
→ Includes bacteria and viruses, protists and fungi, and plants)
Unit 3: Animals (2nd quarter)
→ Includes animal diversity, structure, function, and behavior
→We will begin discussing the Science Fair at the end of the second quarter.
Unit 4: Human Body Systems (3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter)
→ Includes the skeletal, muscular, digestive, excretory, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, immune, nervous, endocrine, and reproductive systems along with health, nutrition, and diseases
→ We will also be working on Science Fair throughout the third quarter.
Unit 5: Interactions of Life (end of 4th quarter)
→ Includes populations, biome, and ecosystems
