An alumnus of Trinity Lutheran, Mr. Lee now returns to campus as a teacher for Middle School English. He graduated from Concordia University-Irvine with a B.A. in English, then earned an M.A. in English at Arizona State University, and is currently working on his PhD in English at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Mr. Lee has also coached the Trinity volleyball teams, taught our Debate and Esports electives, and run a Tabletop Role Playing club. In his free time, he enjoys weight lifting, video games and reading. He is excited to push and challenge his students to grow as much as they can.
Curriculum at a Glance:
Every other week, 2-3 IXL lessons are assigned, typically focused on grammar conventions
On non-IXL weeks, one unit from the Sadlier Vocab Workbook and an exam on the vocab words at the end of the week
5th Grade does not do this

One essay at the start of every quarter, topics vary from persuasive to reflective to creative

7th/8th: The Wave, Romeo and Juliet + Sonnets, And Then There Were None, Anthem + American Romanticism
One literary essay written at the end of every novel study, usually coincides with the end of the quarter
