AI(人工智慧,Artificial Intelligence)時代已然來臨,勢不可遏。轉變與機運隨之而來,如何順時而動、應勢而為,發展因應之道,培養科學與人文素養,以及參與複雜議題的智慧與能力,正是當代科學教育領域的重要課題。承此,第40屆科學教育國際學術研討會(ASET 2024)以「面向AI世代的科學教育」為主題,期望以人工智慧時代下的跨領域社會性科學議題 (Socio-Scientific Issues,SSI)為主軸,以多元研討形式從多面向切入討論,共同探討科學教育如何面對與因應人工智慧帶來的影響。

The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an undeniable and unstoppable force, bringing about significant changes and opportunities. In response to this transformation, it is imperative to adapt, seize opportunities, develop responsive strategies, and cultivate both scientific and humanistic literacy. Additionally, fostering the intelligence and capabilities required to engage with complex issues has become a crucial challenge in contemporary science education.
The 40th Annual International Conference of Science Education (ASET 2024) is centered on the theme "Science Education for The AI Generation." This conference aims to explore interdisciplinary socio-scientific issues (SSI) in the era of artificial intelligence. Through diverse presentation formats and comprehensive discussions, the conference will focus on how science education can respond to and address the impacts of artificial intelligence.
