Rapid drivetrain that is maneuverable
Floor pickup of notes (required to score multiple in auto) (touch it own it)
Ability to shoot from the podium (protected) into the speaker (minimum score 8 game elements per game)
Ability to get on stage (without sacrificing speaker points)
Ability to score on trap (without sacrificing speaker points)
Minimum DOF to reduce complexity, reduce manufacturing time and ease of repair
Vision for increasing the rate of target acquisition and driver assisted elements
Note:
We are purposefully not adding a want list so we do not waste time deviating from our core functionality. Some aspects such as scoring on the amp we will rely on alliance members but we believe our trap scoring mechanism or our intake mechanism will be able to achieve this task.

Notes about scoring/Strategy:
➔ Cycling to the amp twice before speakers might not be better than just cycling to the
speaker
◆ (2x1)+5 vs 3x2, 7pts vs 6pts (Remember this is just showing 3 cycles)
➔ Melody bonus has quite the demanding requirements, 18 notes is impossible for one
robot so teamwork will be key.
➔ Using Coopertition bonus to lower threshold to 15 will be much more manageable, note
that this will require a use of one scored note in the Amp. This also requires both
alliances to decide to use the Coopertition.
➔ The Coopertition bonus is used as a tiebreaker after ranking points in the tournament,
something to consider?
➔ Ensemble bonus requires 10 points, at least 6 will come from the mandatory two hanging
robots, therefore, we need a total of 4 additional Stage points to earn this ranking point,
being able to score in the trap will be very useful for this.
➔ Human players will need to both manage the amplify button and the coop button, as well
as score the rings on the microphones.
◆ Note that the buttons, when managed correctly, will earn much more points than
even a perfect 3 throws of the rings.
Sat, January 6th- Mon, January 8th (Kickoff-First day back)
◆ Microphone throws do not count towards Melody bonus RP
Prototyping:
Currently we have a shooter prototype under construction that will be a bit nicer that the
clamped together eyesore which was put together on Sunday, this is a more polished version
that will allow us to test the shooting accuracy and power after promising results were observed
on Sunday.
Currently we have two intake mechanism ideas, one was inspired by a Robot In Three
Days group which used Thrifty bot poly belts which seemed to grip the piece very well

The next intake idea is similar to 254’s intake in 2017, where there is a lower plate with rollers
above, this would allow us to grab, and lift the piece into a multitude of possible orientations and
angles which we would then eject it either into a shooting mechanism or wherever else
necessary.

Current Decisions that were made so far:
➔ We will be using Inverted Swerve drive this year, although modules may have to be
tweaked when(if) our new motors arrive in the near future.
➔ Drivetrain dimensions will be 26x28
➔ Bellypan will be Steel in order to increase weight and lower our centre of gravity. We
have ways to add more weight last minute if we find our CG is too high or overall weight
is too low.
