Homework
Homework is meant to be a learning connection between home and school. Its is NOT
intended to be a source of struggle. The objective is always to have fun and engage
with your students with their educational journey. Please do your best to complete the
whole packet by completing at least 3 pages as a goal. Homework will be a practice
of our current classroom learning or a review. Homework packets are sent home
on Monday and due the following Monday. Please keep the homework folder in your
child’s backpack so they can turn it in easily.
Here are some homework tips that you may find useful when setting up a nightly homework routine:
1. Find a calm, quiet spot for your child to work.
2. Make sure your child has all the tools he or she will need to complete the assignments.
3. Encourage independence, but be available if your child needs help. Your child will need your help reading and following directions, especially initially. Our homework is designed to be done with some adult assistance. Reading should always be done together until your child is able to read independently.
