ARRIVAL DAY: WELCOME TO ATHENS!
After a long but rested journey, we excitedly touched down at Athens Airport and for many was the first time touching European soil! After a seamless check-in and a freshen up at the hotel, we embarked on a leisurely stroll through the vibrant Monastiraki Square, with our local guide ensuring that we never missed a moment of the sights and sounds of this bustling hub. We later unwound with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant before settling in for a cozy overnight stay in the heart of Athens.

DAY ONE: ANCIENT WONDERS AWAIT!
We started our Sunday with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading out for an exhilarating exploration of the Acropolis. After marvelling at the Parthenon and we delved into the treasures of the Acropolis Museum. The students enjoyed a delicious traditional street food, gyros, before heading to the Ancient Agora, a place where philosophers once roamed, and now the next generation has wandered. We were rained out for a bit of time, but managed to continue on to enjoying some creamy gelato. We had a bit of time to wander and shop in the packed streets of Monastiraki Square. We capped off the day with a delightful dinner which had a view of both the Agora and the Acropolis.

DAY TWO: CULTURE AND CONSERVATION
Monday kicked off with a visit to the Parliament building, where we witnessed the iconic changing of the guards. The students then joined a hands-on Greek cooking class for a tasty lunch, and prepared for a briefing on a beach cleanup initiative. We had the chance to learn about the fascinating world of sea turtle rehabilitation and rescue before heading back to the city center for dinner and a restful night.
TRIVIA OF THE DAY: In Greece we can find three different species of sea turtles: the Loggerhead (Caretta caretta), the Green turtle (Chelonia mydas) and the Leatherback (Dermochelys choriacea). Which one is the one that current conservation efforts focus on?

On Tuesday, we got up early and set sail on an unforgettable day cruise to the stunning islands of Hydra, Poros, and Aegina. Each island offered unique charm and beauty, perfect for exploration and relaxation. After a day of adventure, we enjoyed dinner back in Athens.

DAY FOUR: SITE SEEING AT DELPHI
Wednesday brings an early transfer to the mystical site of Delphi. The journey through the beautiful Greek countryside was a treat for the students who were awake to witness it. We enjoyed lunch at a local taverna, before making our way to the temple. Zeus seemed displeased today as we had a rainy visit of the site. We explored its archaeological wonders and visited the Delphi Museum, rich with ancient artifacts. After that we headed to ur new hotel, the gorgeous Amalia location with a beautiful view of the mountains. Everyone had a chance to explore the local area, and even banter and bargain. After a fulfilling day, we enjoyed dinner at the hotel and recieved a gift from Sakis our tour guide for the trip. Finally, we unwinded in the enchanting surroundings of Delphi with a final shopping trip into town, or a hangout and games at the hotel. Overall, a wonderful final day.
