Welcome to an exciting new school year at Broadway Elementary! 

I am thrilled to begin this wonderful journey with you and your child as they take their first steps into the world of elementary school. Kindergarten is such a special time filled with curiosity, discovery, and growth, and I am honored to be a part of it.

This year will be filled with learning adventures as we explore letters, numbers, science, art, and so much more. Your child will make new friends, build important social and emotional skills, and begin laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. I believe in creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to come to school each day.

I can’t wait to get to know your child and watch them grow this year. Let’s work together to make this school year a joyful and memorable one!

A little bit about me: 

My name is Carly McConnell and this is my 11th year teaching! I taught 1st grade for 9 years and this is now my second year teaching Kindergarten! I earned my bachelors degree from Wright State University in Early Childhood Education. I received my masters degree from Miami University in Writing! 

My husband, Tyler, and I live in Tipp City and have three children. Jack is a 4th grader at LT Ball, Cohen is here at Broadway in 2nd grade, and Rosie is 3! As a family, we love to travel, play sports, and make memories.
