Books: Instill the value of reading. Instead of treats, purchase a book and bring it to school wrapped on their birthday. At school, the child will unwrap the book and it will be read to the class. A birthday plaque will be placed inside that tells who donated the book. The book will then become part of our classroom library. Students enjoy this celebration and it is a great way to recognize birthdays and the joy of reading.
