2018 Board of Directors Appointments

The TIME Board of Directors are currently seeking applicants to fill vacant positions! We are looking for 4 new Directors who have had some experience with TIME, whether that be as a convenor or an executive member. If you want to continue to shape the global health community at UQ, this gig is for you!

Board members serve a two-year term with the goals of:

  • ensuring that TIME fulfils its mission;
  • maintaining good corporate governance and financial practices;
  • providing strategic direction to the organisation;
  • overseeing corporate memberships to professional organisations; and
  • providing institutional memory from year to year as Executive Committees change.

Please see the Expectations of TIME Directors for more information. If you would like to nominate to be a TIME Director, please submit your name and a maximum 400-word statement to Tom Pearson on twp.director@timeuq.org by 11:59pm on the 20th of September.

Your statement should discuss your:

  • interest in global health
  • vision for TIME, including how your role on the board may facilitate this vision
  • personal characteristics that make you a good team-member
  • past experience on company boards (not essential!)
  • leadership experience within or beyond TIME

It is recommended, but not essential, that you get in contact with one of the current directors (directors@timeuq.org) to discuss your potential role in TIME. Further details about the selection process can be found in our constitution. Your application will be assessed by a diverse selection panel before announcement of successful applicants at the 2017 AGM.
