The YMCA believes strongly in developing character. We therefore challenge and expect each delegate and advisor to uphold this contract based on caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
I understand:
This contract must be signed by me and a parent/guardian before I can attend the YMCA Youth and Government Program sponsored by the Concord Family YMCA. I accept the responsibility to comply with ALL of the provisions in this contract and understand that violations of this contract can result in expulsion from the program and/or loss of office. My parents understand that if I violate the contract, I will be required to call them (regardless of my age) and they have agreed to accept responsibility to pick me up.
Behavior:
I understand that I am expected to be responsible for my own behavior while respecting the rights of all program participants. Because I respect my body, I will not bring and/or consume alcohol, drugs or tobacco at any official scheduled YMCA Youth and Government activity. Because we respect others all YMCA Youth and Government meetings will begin on time. I accept the responsibility to be in my assigned location at the appropriate time, and understand that my failure to present on time may affect my participation in the future. I accept the responsibility to be in attendance at all scheduled events during the conference. I will not use my personal car during the Model Legislative Conference. Cell phones and text messaging is also not appropriate during session.
Dress:
As a citizen of New Hampshire I respect the State House and the role I will assume during the conference. I will be appropriately attired at all YMCA Youth and Government functions: NOTE: Jeans, denim, flip flops, tank tops, or shirts that expose midriff are not appropriate at any time. Shoe heel height should not exceed one inch. Ladies: Dress, skirt, slacks or sweaters. Gentleman: Shirt and tie, jackets are encouraged at all times. Name badges are considered official credentials and will allow access to state buildings and the YMCA Youth and Government activities. I understand they must be worn at all times.
State House:
I agree to treat the State House with the greatest respect and will not open desks, use microphones or voting machines in the House and Senate chambers. I will not bring hats inside the chambers at the State House. I understand that banners, signs or plaques will not be attached or affixed to the facility.
