Hands On! Education Suitcase kits

The South Dakota State Historical Society Museum offers suitcase education kits to classrooms, after school groups and summer school groups. Fourteen kits are currently available. This session will focus on four of them – Buffalo & the Plains Indians, Archaeology in South Dakota, Fur Trade: Bridging Two Worlds and Dakota, Nakota, Lakota Life. All kits include hands-on objects, worksheets, and activities. Participants will learn how the kits are developed and see the kit objects and activities.
