Prom tickets are on sale during lunches at the cafeteria during the month of April, beginning on April 14. Ticket price is $60 per person, cash or a check made out to Thornton Academy, please.
Tickets may only be purchased after graduation fees are paid in full. Graduation fees must be paid at least two days prior to purchasing prom tickets. Fees may be paid by logging into your MySchoolBucks account and then going to My School Store (see Fees, Cap & Gown tab for detailed instructions).
Prom Royalty sign ups will be during ticket sales and the following criteria must be met for Prom Royalty:
Student must sign up IN PERSON
Student must have senior fees paid up
Student must be a SENIOR currently ENROLLED at Thornton Academy - No exceptions
Seniors are permitted to bring one approved guest (under 21 years). Seniors wishing to bring a guest will need to follow protocols from the Deans’ Office for school dances. If the guest is not a current Thornton Academy student, see Ms. Heidelbaugh in the Deans’ Office for a guest form or find the form at MyTA - Thornton Academy. That form must be completed and submitted, along with a copy of the guests’ photo identification, to Ms. Heidelbaugh PRIOR to purchasing tickets. No exceptions.
We are aware that many students take limousines and don’t plan on parking at The Halo at Thompson’s Point. For those who would like to park at the venue, there are paid parking spots through the Passport parking app, and there are also parking kiosks throughout campus.
There will be a room to check coats and bags. Students WILL NOT be allowed to keep a bag/purse with them. You will be asked to check your bag of any size upon arrival.
At prom, plan on Danny the DJ with a photo booth, beverages and dessert, and crowning of prom royalty.
