Things to know:
Attire for seniors is cap and gown over dress clothes.
The ceremony typically lasts about two hours.
If the ceremony is held outside at Hill Stadium, there will not be a limit to the number of guests and tickets won't be required. Seniors will receive tickets along with their caps and gowns at marching practice just in case weather requires Thornton to move the ceremony inside.
A decision regarding location will be made by 10:00AM on Sunday, 6/7.
Graduation Dress Code:
Appropriate attire under the gown includes dresses, skirts, dress pants, khakis, and dress shirts or other collared shirts.
Comfortable shoes or sandals suitable for walking are recommended.
Pointed heels are not allowed on the turf.
Caps are not to be altered or decorated.
Only school-issued pins, cords, or medals may be worn with the gown.
Altering the cap or gown will result in the student being unable to participate in senior end-of-year activities for which they are required.
Gowns must be fully zipped throughout the entire program.
Pointed heels are not allowed on the turf.
These rules are in place to ensure a uniform and respectful appearance for all students of the graduating class of 2026.
