Trout In the Classroom
Trout In the Classroom
LIVE FISH CAM COMING SOON! Our trout eggs are currently in the dark in a 40° F stream of water. Students at Thomaston High School are hatching and raising Brown Trout that will be released this Spring at Black Rock State Park under the guidance of CTDEEP.
Raising healthy trout requires a healthy environment. Students actively monitor pH, Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrogen to monitor the health of the aquarium. Temperature is controlled to match local waterways. Last year's Nitrogen levels are reported here.
