Trout In the Classroom
Trout In the Classroom
LIVE FISH CAM ONLY VISIBLE DURRING DAYLIGHT HOURS. Students at Thomaston High School are hatching and raising Brown Trout that will be released this Spring at Black Rock State Park under the guidance of CTDEEP. The video above is a live feed of our young Parr; they have come a long way from the Eggs and Alvin pictured below.
Raising healthy trout requires a healthy environment. Students actively monitor pH, Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrogen to monitor the health of the aquarium. Temperature is controlled to match local waterways. Current Nitrogen levels since tank setup are actively reported here.
