CAFOD Big Walk lent fundraiser

Lenten promises tree
Rosary group in junior playground 1pm on Wednesdays
Penitential services for years 4, 5, 6 in March
Stations of the Cross Assembly during the last week
PASSION PLAY: Year 5 and Choir parents are invited to come and watch Tuesday 28th March 2pm
Competition:
We are inviting children to design and make their own Stations of the Cross and Easter Gardens. You could use shoe boxes, clay, card…. The possibilities are endless! Winners will be picked at the end of the Easter term and announced at our Easter Assembly.
Class Lent Prayer book
Children will be bringing home a class prayer book each evening for you to write a prayer together as a family. Each child in the class will have a chance to bring this home and will then share with their class the next day.
You can make up your own prayer, write out a prayer that you frequently say as a family, share a special intersession of a saint. Please make sure they are written and decorated with care and attention.
As a school, we will be taking part in CAFOD’s ‘Big Lent Walk’. During school time, we are aiming for all children to have walked at least 1km over the course of this term – the school will then have completed the challenge twice!

This will be our Lenten fundraiser, that form part of our school’s ethos and Catholic values. If all children can bring in at least £1, we can raise over £400 for this wonderful cause that helps those who desperately need our help.

CAFOD works tirelessly to help those in poverty around the world, and have also been providing aid to those effected in both natural disasters such as the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria, as well as aid for those displaced by war and conflict
