About Me
Who I Am
Hi! I’m Nichole! I’m a licensed clinical social worker, certified alcohol and drug counselor, and certified clinical supervisor, but you might also call me a promoter of possibility and champion of change!
What I Do
I help others who long to feel confident about themselves but never quite feel like they are good enough. I help people who long to feel strong and those who wish they could be free from their fears, worries, or their past. People who wish to be free from their demons and ghosts but who are fearful of standing up against their own fears because they are afraid of the changes that may come. I support, embolden, motivate, and guide them through the sometimes challenging but always liberating process of discovering and/or recreating themselves so that they can accomplish what they desire and live the positive lives they want and deserve.
Why I Do This
I know from my own past experiences and journey as well as my work with others over the last several years that negotiating what life can throw at us is hard sometimes, especially when we think we have to do it alone. I am here to tell you that you do not have to do this alone; I am willing to stand beside you. I will assist you in discovering underlying issues, free up blocks, and heal old wounds as well as provide you with tools that you can use outside of counseling to build resilience or lessen anxiety. Through all this, you are my priority – you and your story, needs, and temperament. How else am I going to help you grow and become your best self unless I listen to you!
My Guiding Values
I have had clients thank me for being their biggest supporter, for showing them unconditional positive regard, and also for not hesitating to be honest, direct and straightforward with them when it feels like something is off. I have also had clients thank me for knowing when they just needed someone to hear them, to validate their feelings and be compassionate. I remember during a first meeting with a client they continuously referred to themselves as broken, unfixable, and who encouraged me to just give up on them because so many others already had. I told them that wasn't going to happen and that was not what I saw at all. I saw a person who had experienced many struggles in their life but yet had the strength and resilience to be here today. I saw a person who needed a little help sorting it all out and I was more than happy, in fact honored, they had chosen me to help them. I also told this person that as long as they did not give up on themselves, neither would I and this is the same commitment I make to you.
My logo is a representation of this and my commitment to you as well. My logo is based upon what is known as the Feminine Wisdom Eyes of Buddha, and it is through these eyes that we are reminded to look at the world with deep compassion. The Third Eye itself represents spiritual awakening and the Sanskrit symbol below the eyes shows us the unity of all things. I strive to treat all my clients with the deep compassion they deserve as we work together, united, to reach their own awakening.
