Meet Our Team
The people behind the mission. The hearts behind the work.
Hope Starts Here - Help Support Recovery in Our Community
The people behind the mission. The hearts behind the work.
Recovery happens through connection.
At The Upper Room Recovery Community, our team is committed to walking alongside the people we serve with compassion, accountability, resources, and hope. We bring together professional experience, community partnerships, and lived experience to help people build strong, independent lives in recovery.
Molly Kelly serves as Executive Director of The Upper Room Recovery Community, where her leadership is rooted in both professional experience and her own journey of long-term recovery. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of rebuilding a life in recovery, Molly is passionate about creating opportunities for others to find stability, purpose, and a true sense of belonging.
Under her leadership, The Upper Room has grown into more than recovery housing—it is a community built around connection, accountability, compassion, and hope. Molly works closely with community partners, treatment providers, courts, funders, and local leaders to expand resources and remove barriers for individuals working to change their lives.
For Molly, this work is deeply personal. She believes that a person's past does not determine their future and that, with the right support and opportunities, recovery can become the beginning of an entirely new life.
Lawrence J. Vaughan serves as the Director of Men’s House at The Upper Room Recovery Community, providing leadership, guidance, and accountability to the men in our recovery housing program.
Lawrence brings a steady, compassionate approach to his work while encouraging residents to take ownership of their recovery and the lives they are building. He works alongside each resident to help navigate challenges, establish stability, develop life skills, and move toward greater independence.
In addition to his leadership within the Men’s House, Lawrence facilitates The Upper Room’s Batterers Intervention Program, helping participants understand harmful patterns, strengthen personal accountability, and develop healthier behaviors and relationships.
Lawrence believes in meeting people where they are while continuing to challenge them to recognize what they are capable of becoming.
Pam Smith serves as the Director of Women’s House at The Upper Room Recovery Community, where she provides support, guidance, and encouragement to women as they work toward lasting recovery and independence.
Pam is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where women feel heard, valued, and empowered to move forward. She works closely with each resident to navigate challenges, set goals, build healthy routines, and develop the confidence and skills needed for life beyond recovery housing.
Known for leading with both compassion and accountability, Pam understands that recovery looks different for every person. She is committed to meeting women where they are while helping them recognize their strengths, celebrate their progress, and continue building a future filled with hope and possibility.
