Camping

I like how camping allows me to be outside, it relieves my stress and takes me to the places I want to be. I usually just camp in my backyard and recently my dad found some new land for us to camp at. It is a pretty good spot to camp because there is no one around. I like to watch the chipmunks around the area and I can hear them running around all night long. It was a little annoying sometimes at night but it was fun listening to them during the day. When my dad and I go camping we don’t really do much, yet still the days go by very fast. We just wake up, eat breakfast, make coffee, cut some firewood and sit around for a bit. And before you know it, it’s almost night again. At night it gets cold so we heat up rocks by the fire and wrap them in towels and put them in our sleeping bags. My sleeping bag heats up quickly with the rock in it. The heat will last most of the night if the rock is big enough. There are lots of acorns that litter the ground from the oak trees. Another reason I like camping and being outside is that I can make a lot of things. Sometimes I make a few things while I am there like a pot hanger for heating up water and making coffee and chaga tea over the fire. The pot hanger is made out of three sticks lashed together to make a tripod. I hung the stick from the tripod and hung the pot on the end of the stick. I also wanted to make a chair but the day went by so fast that I didn’t have time. When I am there I don’t think about school or any of the other stresses in my life, I just enjoy being outside in nature. Nature is very calming and relaxing and I feel a lot better when I am outside. I love camping because being outside in nature is very relaxing and stress relieving. I don’t think about the stresses of school, I just enjoy being outside.
