Good morning, Kindergarten!
Did you know we only have a few weeks left of school?? You are almost FIRST GRADERS! I am so proud of you and how much you've learned this year!! I want you to go back in your writing journal to the very first entries. Look how much you've learned!!
Our Zoom class meeting will include a lesson with Senora Raven. If we have extra time, we will play 20 questions. Hope to see you there!
Today makes 142 days of Kindergarten!
Love,
Mrs. Bradley

If you didn't finish getting your poem from the draft onto your new fancy "background" yesterday, go ahead and work on that today, too. When you're completely finished, practice reading your poem out loud. When you're ready, ask someone to take a video of you reading your Bio Poem and upload it to your digital portfolio. I will compile student videos to share with the class next week!
Estimate: 20 minutes
Do you have eggs at your house? If so, carefully go get one! If not, look at the picture to the left. Observe it. What do you think is inside the egg?
Some eggs are cared for by a mother chicken and hatch into baby chicks. What do you already know about eggs, baby chicks, and chickens?
Listen to this story called A Chick Grows Up [5 min]. Pay close attention to the stages of the chicken life cycle! Now, watch these baby chicks hatching! [2 min]
From the videos, do you remember how long it takes an embryo to grow into a chick?
What is the special part of the beak called that baby chicks use to hatch from their shell?
What are the baby chick feathers called?
What is the red thing on top of a chicken's head called? How about the part underneath the beak?
Add to your Weather Chart each day.
