Good morning, Kindergarten!
We do not have school this Friday. It is called the "Home Stretch Holiday" - basically just a day to relax! Do you have any special plans for Friday? I think I will take a long walk and maybe watch a movie on Friday!
Our Zoom class meeting today will include a "Pet Parade." (You will get to show us your pet or favorite stuffed animal!) Hope to see you there!
Today makes 132 days of Kindergarten!
Love,
Mrs. Bradley

Okay authors (that's you!), this week, you're going to apply your knowledge of plants AND your how-to writing skills to write a book called "How to Plant a Seed." Today is the DRAFT. That means it is your practice day to get your thoughts organized and practice sounding out your words. Get 1 sheet of paper and fold it half twice so that you have 4 boxes. Number the boxes 1 - 4. We are going to use the words: first, next, then, last to start each section. See Mrs. Bradley's example to the left. Before you write anything else down, think about the videos you watched yesterday as research. Talk about the steps 1-4. When you're ready, get started writing your draft!
Box 1: First, __________________.
Box 2: Next, ___________________.
Box 3: Then, __________________.
Box 4: Last, _____________________.
You do not need to add drawings to your draft. We will add those another day!
Estimate: 10 minutes
Using empty paper rolls from your house, choose something off this STEM choice board. Share a picture on our class Padlet when you're done!
You can also practice coding on Kodable.com or the Kodable app!
Estimate: 5 minutes

Today is supposed to be a b-e-a-utiful day, the perfect day for a búsqueda de tesoros (scavenger hunt)! There are two different sets to choose from. Feel free to do just one or both! As you find each item, see if you can have someone help you say each Spanish word. Have your list ready for Wednesday so you can show me how many you found during the class meeting!
Pregunta del Día: How many items did you check off on your scavenger hunt list? (Count the number out loud in Spanish).
Choose an activity or two from this list each day we would meet together for music. Students are welcome to do extra or past activities for enrichment or as they wish to explore.
