Getting vaccinated has the following benefits:
Protecting your family, friends, and local community by being fully vaccinated.
As shown in this infographic, the vaccine will improve community immunity and reduce the spread of the Omicron variant.
You are strengthening your body's immune system response to COVID-19 including the novel Omicron variant.
A minimum of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine are needed to be considered fully vaccinated. A booster dose is highly recommend for those who are eligible by Public Health Canada.
Individuals 18 and over can receive a booster shot three months (84 days) after their last dose, and those 12 to 17 can get a booster six months (168 days) after their last dose.
Please note the following side effects and risks associated with the vaccine: sore arm, headache, fatigue (tiredness), muscle or joint pain, fever, chills, nausea, and/or vomiting.
See your eligibility by a Health Canada approved mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) here.
See your eligibility for in-home vaccination here.
