SHUFL Tech brings the classic game of shuffleboard into the modern world, with automated scoring, game variety, but without compromising the iconic curved SHUFL table that rewards skill and adds challenge. Built for competitive socialising venues, it’s ideal for casual first-timers, regular groups, and tournament events alike.
Players slide physical pucks, but everything else is powered by the tech: scoring, team selection, player profiles, and progress tracking. No referees needed.
This page explains the core formats available, what players experience, and how your venue can keep things running smoothly.
SHUFL Tech uses overhead cameras and a smart scoring engine to handle gameplay automatically:
Camera Tracking: Each puck is tracked by cameras mounted above the table. The system recognises its number, colour, and final position — even as pucks drift or collide.
Automated Scoring: Scoring zones (1–5, or 6 for a hanger) are assigned instantly based on final position. Pucks on a line score for the lower zone. The system also detects foul pucks or invalid moves.
Onscreen Display: Scores and round wins are shown above the table. If someone throws the wrong puck, SHUFL Tech freezes play and tells them how to fix it.
Start-Side Logic: Each new round starts from the correct side, auto-detected based on puck placement at the end of the previous round.
Player Profiles: Players can log in with a name, selfie or avatar. Teams choose colours, and stats are tracked across rounds.
SHUFL Tech has three in-built games, all with different rules and levels of challenge.

Even though SHUFL Tech games are scored by team, individual performances are tracked throughout the session to keep things competitive and fun.
At the end of each game, players receive personalised stat-based nicknames based on how they played. Examples include:
Knockout Ninja – most pucks knocked out
Gutter Dweller – most shots off the board
These titles change game to game, keeping players engaged and laughing between rounds.
At the end of the session, SHUFL Tech crowns an MVP based on a mix of stats including:
Total points scored
Knockouts
Gutters
Hangers (for any perfect 6-point shots)
This system rewards both strong individual play and great team contribution. Even if a team doesn’t win overall, a player can still walk away with bragging rights.
All nickname and MVP announcements are displayed automatically on the screen, with no input needed from staff.
