Killer is best played with medium to large groups of beginner to intermediate players.
For the best experience, players should be of a similar standard, or split into teams averaging a similar standard.
For groups of those who really can't throw a dart yet, we recommend starting with High Striker before taking on Killer later in the session.
Killer is an engaging and competitive darts game where players aim to become the "killer" by hitting their assigned numbers to collect shields.
Once a player collects three shields, they achieve killer status. They can now target and eliminate opponents from the game.
Each player or team is randomly assigned a numbered section at the start of the game.
Each successful hit on the assigned section earns the player or team one shield.
Doubles of that number count for two shields, and trebles count for three shields.
Killer Mode: Once a player or team accumulates three shields, they are given a sword, and become a Killer. This status is automatically tracked and displayed by FLYBY.
As a Killer, you can weaken opponents by hitting their assigned numbers to remove their shields. Each successful hit on an opponent’s number removes one shield.
To eliminate an opponent, you must remove all their shields and then hit them one more time. After hitting them once their shields are gone, the opponent is removed from the game.
Last person standing!
The last player or team to have any of their lives remaining after all others have been killed off is declared the winner.
There is no set limit on the number of rounds. The game continues until one player or team remains.
Initial Scoring: In the early rounds, each successful hit on the assigned number earns the player or team one shield. Doubles count for two shields, and trebles count for three shields.
Double Points: After a predetermined number of rounds, each successful dart hit on the assigned number is worth double the usual shields. FLYBY updates the scoring and game status accordingly.
Activation: To prevent the game going into a kind of stalemate, FLYBY ups the stakes and transitions into "Sudden Death" mode.
Immediate Killer Status: In sudden death mode, hitting your own assigned number immediately makes you a killer, regardless of the number of shields you have.
Instant Eliminations: Any hit by a killer on another player’s assigned number instantly removes that player from the game. FLYBY tracks and displays these eliminations in real time.
