Iconography

Icon Style

Icon should match the style of our brand font, Montserrat:

  • Use line-art with clean cut ends, not rounded ends or filled artwork
  • Use icons with descriptive text
  • Properly scale icon sizes and utilize tints and shades of the brand colors to create visual contrast between an icon and accompanying text (icon could be larger or smaller than text)
  • Make sure to provide greater surrounding whitespace than similar sized text (no less than 1 1/3 the icons height on all sides)
  • Icons should be used intentionally, users slow down when reading icons, this is useful if you want to direct users' attention to an item.
