The IA (internal assessment) is the lab that you will do in school, that is marked by me (your teacher) and then sent off for checking with the IB to see if they think I am marking appropriately. 

It is quite different to previous years in that it can be collaborative. 

Collaborative work is optional

● Groups should have at most 3 students.

● The goal of collaboration is to share the task of setting up an apparatus or materials for an experiment; students in the group must not have the same research question or the same variables.

● Each student must write their own report, including the methodology, even if the apparatus setup was the same.
