June: Harbor Celebration Night — Date to be announced
We are currently discussing several exciting opportunities with local professionals and community partners. These experiences are being explored for our upcoming Harbor season:
Community Service: Adopt-a-Park — Students will work together to plan and complete a community park cleanup. Weather permitting, we may include additional team challenges.
Cake Decorating: A hands-on decorating experience with a culinary chef and baker at Angela’s Bakery in Moore.
Financial Literacy: Practical financial literacy classes taught by INTRUST Bank in Moore.
Wellness: Classes led by a biblical counselor and dietitian, exploring healthy habits, everyday wellness, and caring for ourselves.
Situational Awareness: Learning practical ways to recognize our surroundings, make safe choices, and respond thoughtfully in everyday situations.
Harbor Generations Dance Party: DJ-led dancing and games with residents at a local nursing home or assisted living community. A community partner is still being sought.
Team-Building & Social Adventures: Fun opportunities to connect, work together, and make memories through activities such as hiking, laser tag, arcade visits, and treasure or scavenger hunts.
Leadership classes: Taught by current education with Master's in Psychology and management experience. She will conduct mock interviews and help students know what may be expected of them as they enter the workforce.
These experiences are currently under discussion and are subject to partner availability and final scheduling.
The Harbor will continue exploring new opportunities based on student interests, emerging ideas, and the availability of community partners. We want students to have a voice in shaping their Harbor experiences!
Crew A and Crew B will participate in the same monthly experiences.
Crew B dates will be confirmed if enrollment allows us to form a second crew.
Additional special experiences may be scheduled for both crews throughout the season.
There will be no increase in monthly fees for additional Harbor experiences.
Celebration Night will be held in June to recognize friendships, growth, accomplishments, and memories from our first Harbor season.
This is a tentative calendar. Dates, locations, and special events may be adjusted as details are finalized.
