She earned her B.S. in Psychology in 2010 and M.S. in Occupational Therapy in 2011 from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Currently serving as faculty for Shenandoah University’s Division of Occupational Therapy, Lindsay is deeply committed to both clinical practice and education.
With a wealth of clinical expertise, Lindsay specializes in various areas, including Aging in Place, Dementia Care, Home Safety and Environmental Modification, and Women’s Health. Lindsay is currently pursuing certification as a Women’s Health Specialist.
Inspired by her brother's experience with occupational therapy at a young age, Lindsay found her calling in helping others attain and regain life-changing skills, fostering independence, well-being and occupational balance–– an individual’s perception of having the right amount, proportion, and variation between productive, restorative, and leisure occupations. Her personal journey as a Solo Mom by Choice (SMBC) and through infertility treatments, including IVF, fueled her passion for supporting individuals and families facing similar challenges. Lindsay's Capstone research study, "The Effect of IVF Treatments for Infertility on Occupational Balance," reflects her dedication to addressing the holistic needs of her clients, emphasizing the importance of occupational balance.
Outside of Lindsay’s productive occupations, she cherishes quality time with her family, including her IVF miracle baby and 100 lb Boxer fur-baby. Her leisure occupations include gardening, travel, indulging in audio books and binging a good series on Netflix.
Lindsay's commitment to compassionate care, coupled with her extensive experience and ongoing pursuit of knowledge, makes her a trusted advocate for her clients' well-being and fulfillment.
