I am so happy you are here
Meet Me
Enjoli Ford (she/her/hers), LPC established The Elements of Freedom, LLC as a counseling service offered online through teletherapy video and audio.
I am born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where I was exposed to a lot of culture, food, creativity, and open minded people. For self care I enjoy playing Beach Volleyball and connecting with loved ones. As a Black Lesbian Woman and retired "helper" I understand how it feels to want to make sure everyone is happy. Sometimes it feels like carrying the world on your shoulders, and that causes stress. I observed and listened to countless people talk about how tired they are-- I was too, but not anymore. What better way to regain YOUR time than now? To set boundaries and stand on them without guilt flooding your nervous system telling you that you're selfish. It's okay to choose, nurture, and honor yourself first. "No" is a complete sentence.
As a dedicated therapist with over 10 years of experience and trained in Brainspotting Therapy, I support clients from diverse backgrounds, especially marginalized, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ community. My approach to mental health emphasizes a decolonized perspective, valuing individual experiences, identities, and ancestries. I focus on helping individuals who find it challenging to prioritize their own needs and well-being in a very demanding capitalist and oppressive society. My goal is client empowerment, self-awareness, and confidence for a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Are you looking for a professional who can help you work through these issues in a safe empathetic environment-- Allowing you to express yourself openly, but appropriately, without being judged? A settled mind, strong boundaries, and healthy communication is ahead of you. Stop being tired of being fed up, it is time to do something about it by prioritizing yourself.
What to expect from counseling
My goal is to help you build strong skills so you can create the environment you desire in order to function and thrive in your life. I am focused on boundary setting and self-esteem/empowerment building skills. It's time to do things that work for you.
I look forward to connecting with you during your
Who are you? What parts of yourself do you want to strengthen? It's okay if you do not have answers yet. I will work with you to connect the pieces by exploring your beliefs, values, and any behaviors that are hindering your growth. Let's uncover your hidden emotions and trauma so you can heal the pain that holds you back. It no longer serves you.
You will work directly with a professional who listens and is attentive to your needs. A person who knows many ways to get you to a place of confidence. If you are often drained because you are unable to set boundaries, I will help you gain confidence to advocate for yourself and build the support system you need.
Are you looking for a counselor who can be honest and real, but understanding? Someone who will say "Pause. Let's examine the facts."? Our thoughts can get the best of us, but we can work on calming thoughts and anxiety by looking at the truth. Feelings aren't always fact, but you will learn to discern between fear and intuition.
