Who is eligible to participate in the RTU Program?
Students in grades 7 through 12 attending Arlington Memorial High School, Burr & Burton Academy, The Dorset School, Flood Brook School, Leland & Gray Middle & High School, Long Trail School, Maple Street School, Manchester Elementary & Middle School, The Mountain School at Winhall, or homeschooled students in grades 7 through 12 within the catchment area of the above schools, are eligible to participate in RTU to earn a season pass to one of our incentive partners. Younger students may audit the program at no cost, but will not receive a pass for their efforts.
How do I register for RTU?
Use this form! The form allows you to register up to two caring adults and up to three youth participants in a single entry.
My parent/guardian isn't available to participate as a caring adult. Can I still sign up?
Yes! The role of the caring adult in the RTU program is a vital one, but the term is deliberately inclusive of a wide range of people eligible to serve in that role. If a parent or guardian is unwilling or unable to serve as a caring adult, check with another relative, the parent of another young person in the program, or any adult you're close with. Please note, adult siblings of RTU participants can only serve as caring adults if they are over 27 years of age. The Collaborative will never bar a young person from RTU because they can't find a caring adult to engage in programming with them. Reach out to your rep if you need assistance finding a caring adult.
I picked a pass when I registered, but now I want a different one. What should I do?
If you want to change your pass from the one you signed up for, reach out to rtu@thecollaborative.us as soon as possible. Before October 25th, you can change your pass freely, but after that, you'll need to pay an additional $50 registration fee each time you change your pass.
How do I know who my rep is?
You'll most likely hear from your rep very soon! If you don't connect with your rep at Kickoff, check the School Rep Contact doc in the Program Info section of this portal for the rep associated with your school and grade. Depending on the number of participants in the same school and grade as you, you may have two reps; feel free to reach out to either or both of them as needed. If you still don't know who your rep is after looking through the doc, please contact us at rtu@thecollaborative.us.
When is my next event?
Check the RTU Program Calendar, available on the home page of this portal, for a full list of all event offerings throughout the program season. Additionally, each event page on this portal will have a document listing all the dates, times, and locations of events being offered to satisfy that event's requirements. Your rep may also reach out to you directly to schedule your events and remind you as they get closer.
I can't make it to my school/grade's event. What should I do?
Your first and best option is always to check the dates/times/location document on each event page for a different event that fits your schedule. Any RTU participant is welcome to attend any event at any school; all we ask is that you notify the hosting rep at least 48 hours in advance. If none of the dates and times work, check the event page for information on how to make up attendance credit. Reach out to rtu@thecollaborative.us with any questions.
I attended my event, but my pass got turned off. Why?
Even if your rep recorded you as attending an RTU event, you still need to complete the event's follow-up form to receive credit. Each event page on this portal has a link to that event's follow-up form; you can also find all the forms on the Required Surveys page.
How can I earn a pass to Bromley?
Bromley does not currently participate as an incentive partner in the RTU program. If you would like them to start, please feel free to reach out to them directly!
