Communication and Interaction

Communication and interaction: A pupil may have speech, language or communication difficulties which makes it difficult for them to make sense of language or to understand how to communicate effectively and appropriately with others.

In their first term of nursery, all pupils are screened using GL's WellComm language screener which assesses both receptive and expressive language. If areas for development are identified, teachers and TAs work with pupils regularly to address these using the linked intervention activities.
