Students choose a topic for a website and work with a client to design and create an outcome that is fit for purpose. This is an iterative process to ensure both the client and end-user requirements are met.
Website creation is done with wireframes to plan the web pages.
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are used to create the pages. At Year 12 and Year 13, students use php and sql to make the website more functional and efficient and to embed a database into the website.
Brackets or Visual Studio Code is used as the editor for these languages. GIMP or Photoshop is used to edit images.
