________________
For this task, first identify some spaces you could use. Write a list of them. Some examples are: Doorway into the classroom, hallway in my home, a missing brick in a wall
1. For each of the spaces make a list of purposes for the space – what actions happen in the space? Who uses it? Does it have a purpose at all?
2. Brainstorm or list ways in which you could alter these space that would change the way we use or view the spaces. Make thumbnail sketches of at least four different ideas.
3. Choose one of your ideas and make it. Document it thoroughly. Afterwards, write a short paragraph evaluating the artwork. If your artwork is too elaborate, or it would significantly inconvenience people to install it, you may print two photographs (different viewpoints) and collage, photoshop, or paint and draw into them to show what the artwork would look like if made.
