Job Opportunities
Ghost Host YouTube Series: Producer Needed - 2/13
Opportunity
We are seeking a recent film school grad (or senior student) as the Producer ($25-40 / hour) of our socially-focused YouTube series, Ghost Host, aimed at Gen Z. (Will work under the guidance of the Director, a USC Film School grad.)
Ghost Host is designed to deliver a persuasive message that produces a radical impact: That of influencing its teen audience to lessen their addiction to social media - which has been linked to mental health issues within this population.
Instead of providing adult-like cautionary lectures (which don't work anyway!), Ghost Host's script was created to indirectly influence its viewer: It provides a relatable story that places them on a path of trusting discovery in delivering its message. A narrative to which teens are receptive - with authentic language that they accept since they see it as their own.
An essential role of the Producer is that of ensuring that the script and production deliver "Non Cringe,” "teen-authentic" situations and dialogue throughout - the key to the program’s acceptance by viewers.
Ghost Host is envisioned as a five-part series of ten-minute YouTube chapters. We plan to shoot the program in a roughhewn, low-cost "iPhone style," in keeping with the media format with which this audience is most familiar.
If so, please respond with your contact information and a link to where we may review your projects to date and background. And specify your crew position interest, experience category (and equipment, if applicable) when applying.

Young Storytellers is looking for volunteer mentors to help Los Angeles students - 8/10/25
Young Storytellers is looking for volunteer mentors to help Los Angeles students to craft their own, unique screenplays based on their imagination and lived experiences. No experience writing or mentoring is required! Once these stories are complete, performers come and bring their stories to life at a Big Show, an in-school assembly that celebrates the hard work of our students and showcases their stories to their friends and family in the community.
What is Young Storytellers?
Young Storytellers equips young people to be the driving force of their own narratives. We’re passionate about bringing people together and creating stories to raise the voices of those who don’t often get heard. We believe that when a young person understands the power of their own story—made of their unique background, culture, race, gender, sexuality, ability, immigration status, geographic location, and economic status—it creates a more empathetic and equitable future for everyone. We raise voices, one story at a time.
Mentoring with Young Storytellers!
It only takes an hour a week, during your lunch break, to help a Young Storyteller tell their story. In our programs, public school students are paired with mentors (you!) to work with them as they imagine, develop, and write their own original story. At the end of the program, professional actors audition for the students and perform their scripts at an in-school assembly, called the "Big Show."
What is the commitment?
Your commitment will be an hour a week - during lunch hours - for 9 consecutive weeks. We're now actively placing volunteer mentors in our 30+ Los Angeles schools for this spring! Visit our Volunteer Portal to explore schools and schedules. You can select the sites that fit your needs and we’ll take it from there!
What will you gain as a mentor?
Our volunteers tell us that the time they spend mentoring is the most fun they have all day and is even the highlight of their week! As a mentor, you will empower students and watch them grow. You'll also meet amazing people (other volunteers, like you) and build friendships that last a lifetime!
