Tewkesbury School is moving in an exciting direction; our vision is to become a leading school through our innovative use of technology. We envision technology-enhanced classrooms where pupils can develop skills to prepare themselves for future job success in a rapidly changing world.
Chromebooks offer Sixth Form pupils the opportunity to become more connected, collaborative and creative learners. With this device, you will develop into more critical thinkers with open minds.
The school has chosen the Asus C204 as the school standard device, it offers incredibly fast start-up time and a super long battery life. With all subjects using the google apps the Chromebook offers seamless support.
Essentially, what our Digital Learning scheme entails is the opportunity for parents, where possible, to provide a Chromebook for their son or daughter to use at school and we hope you will see the benefits:
No upfront cost if you choose to lease. Scheme runs for 3 years, supporting your child during their studies. A one off payment is also available.
Research has shown these devices are very reliable and have good longevity.
They are used as a professional tool at school and for homework, but also for personal use at home, where students can download other age appropriate apps for use outside of the school day.
Chromebooks are increasingly being used in further education.
Supporting students in developing technological skills for the world of work.
Acquiring a Chromebook is not mandatory, but it is an excellent opportunity that we fully endorse and encourage all our students to embrace.
