I received my bachelors in Elementary Education from UNCG in 2018 and ironically have taught middle school ever since! I started my teaching career in Alamance County and this will be my second year at TESG. As an avid reader and writer, I have a strong literacy background that I bring to the 7/8 team. I'm deeply passionate about social justice, creating a compassionate and critical learning space, and serving our communities with our skills, knowledge, and time. When I'm not teaching, I volunteer with Triad Restorative Justice in Winston-Salem. Through my abolitionist teaching and other freedom work with youth, I envision and fight for a world where we are all free: for me, this includes giving my time and resources towards prison abolition, literacy instruction, and equitable food access for all.
