A Community-Based Training (CBT) program was conducted in partnership with Civil-Military Operations (Kahanas) Company under the leadership of 2nd Lieutenant Tristan Bill A. Rafon and Provincial Training Center - Carmen Administrator Engr. Ricardo V. Davidon. The training program aimed to empower the community and promote entrepreneurship by providing skills training in various fields.
The CBT program covered a range of topics including baking and doormat weaving. The program aimed to provide participants with practical skills that they could use to start their own businesses and generate income.
The baking module included training on how to make Banana Cakes, Chocolate Moist Cake, Doughnut, Siakoy, Binangkal, and Puto Cheese. The weaving module covered the art of creating doormats using fabric remnants or used clothing's.
The training program was well-attended, with participants ranging from students, working adults, and housewives. The trainers were experienced professionals who provided hands-on training and guidance to the participants throughout the program.
The partnership between 2nd Lieutenant Tristan Bill A. Rafon and Engr. Ricardo V. Davidon was crucial to the success of the CBT program. Their joint efforts enabled the program to reach a wider audience and provided the resources necessary to ensure that the program was well-organized and professionally conducted.
Overall, the CBT program was a success, providing participants with valuable skills that they could use to improve their lives and contribute to the community. The program also demonstrated the power of partnerships between different organizations and individual in achieving common goals, such as empowering the community, promoting entrepreneurship and "WE for Gender Equality & Inclusive Society."
TESDA Provincial Training Center - Carmen joins the nation in celebrating the 2023 National Women's Month with the theme "WE for gender equality and inclusive society."
PTC - Carmen participation in the Women's Month celebration was an important step towards promoting gender equality and creating a more inclusive society. By providing skills training opportunities, raising awareness of gender issues, and promoting diversity and inclusivity, the center worked to empower women and create a more just and equitable world for all.

TESDA joins the National Council on Disability Affairs and other National Government Agencies in the 43rd National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week Celebration themed Kalusugan at Kaunlaran ng Pilipinong May Kapansanan, Isulong sa Gitna ng Pandemya to promote awareness and empower persons with disabilities to train and be able to work again despite their conditions.

By virtue of Proc. No. 157, s. 2002, February is National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month. In the Philippines, with 1 in every 800 babies born with Down Syndrome and so the month of February was set as National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month which aims to raise awareness about the needs and abilities of people with Down Syndrome.
Many people are unaware that most young people with Down Syndrome enjoy a very typical life, with a range of support needs that can be minimal or more complex, depending on the individual.
People with Down Syndrome can lead very fulfilling lives. They attend schools, have a wide range of talents, they are emotional like anyone else, and participate in many regular activities. It is time to focus on the ability of the people in our community, and celebrate individuality, and Down Syndrome is no exception.
Violence against women (VAW) is a grave violation of women’s rights and fundamental freedoms. It manifests deep-seated discrimination and gender inequality and continues to be one of the country’s perennial social problems. The National Demographic Health Survey 2017, released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, showed that 1 in 4 Filipino women, aged 15-49, has experienced physical, emotional or sexual violence from their husband or partner. While the global estimates by the World Health Organization indicate that about 1 in 3 women (35%) worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual violence from intimate partner or non-partner in their lifetime.
