The DSP App is the official mobile application for Delta Sigma Pi fraternity chapters, created to support member engagement, event coordination, and organizational communication.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use The DSP App. By using the app, you agree to the practices outlined below.
The DSP App is operated by participating Delta Sigma Pi chapters and managed by authorized student officers. Data is securely hosted through Supabase, a trusted cloud provider.
Identity: Full name, university email address, phone number, and University ID (UID)
Academic: Graduation year and academic status
Fraternity: Membership status (brother, pledge, officer, admin), pledge class, and officer position (if applicable)
Credentials: Encrypted password and authentication tokens
Profile Data: Any additional information you choose to provide
Event attendance, check-ins, and participation history
Point system data (achievements, rankings, milestones)
Attendance appeals and officer approval requests
Event calendar information and notifications
Newsletter and in-app communication data
Device type, operating system, and app version

Verify and manage member accounts
Track attendance and fraternity participation

We do not use personal information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or commercial marketing.

Chapter Officers: For legitimate fraternity operations and event management
University Administration: To comply with university safety or reporting requirements

Active Members: Data is retained while membership is active
Alumni: Basic contact and achievement information may be preserved for alumni relations
Inactive Accounts: Archived or deleted after 2 years of inactivity
Deleted Data: Permanently removed from backups within 90 days
Certain information may be retained longer to meet university, financial, or legal requirements.
The DSP App is designed for college students aged 18 or older.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 years of age (COPPA compliance).
Academic information collected is limited to directory-level data (e.g., graduation year).
We comply with applicable FERPA standards and partner university privacy policies.
Users are expected to uphold the values of Delta Sigma Pi. Inappropriate, harassing, or illegal content is strictly prohibited.
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. Members can report inappropriate behavior through the in-app reporting system.
